Matt and Kathryn Harris are both Clemson graduates, but their paths did not cross until 2012, when mutual friends set them up on a blind date in Charleston.

Matt, a Hilton Head Island native, earned his degree in Construction Science and Management, while Kathryn, who grew up in Charleston, pursued a career in the health sciences.

Matt spent more than 15 years building his career with leading contractors and construction companies, gaining experience in commercial construction, residential developments, and custom homes. In 2022, he turned that experience into a longtime dream, founding Harris Construction Group in the Lowcountry.

Kathryn has been part of the Harris Construction Group story from the beginning, officially joining the company in 2026. With a background in occupational therapy and advanced degrees in public health and occupational therapy, she brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to communication, client needs, and the overall experience.

Today, Matt and Kathryn live in Bluffton with their two daughters and are growing a family-owned construction company rooted in experience, honest communication, personal relationships, and a deep commitment to the community they call home.
